Run CMS operations from chat

Beyond building pages, the same chat runs your day-to-day CMS work in plain language. Behind it is the Marketer MCP — it turns natural-language requests into real, governed actions in SitecoreAI: managing sites, pages, content, components, assets, personalization, and tests.

1. Where it runs

Use the Chat in Agentic studio — the Marketer MCP is one of its built-in Skills & Tools (on by default). The same capabilities also work from external MCP clients like Claude Desktop or Cursor, but for the workshop we'll stay in the SitecoreAI chat.

2. Try your first action

Prompt

List all available sites in my tenant.

Expect: the chat returns your sites (name, display name, URL) — proof the Marketer MCP is connected and acting in your tenant.

Note

Everything respects your permissions. Actions run as you, under Sitecore roles, permissions, and approval workflows — and they're audited. The chat is an extra way to work; the normal interface still works alongside it.

The Marketer MCP is reliable for its supported use cases. Always review changes before publishing — existing review and approval steps still apply.
