Step 5 of 26

Review your assets & automatic checks

The moment you upload, Content Hub runs a set of automatic checks in the background β€” then you give the assets a quick review before they're ready to use.

What Content Hub checks automatically

No action needed here β€” just watch it happen:

  • Processing & renditions β€” each upload triggers jobs (Fetch β†’ Processing β†’ Distribution) that generate thumbnails and preview renditions. Track progress under Background processes (top-right). When a thumbnail appears, it's done.
  • Duplicate detection β€” Content Hub flags files that already exist so you don't pile up duplicates.
  • AI-generated content detection β€” assets created or edited with AI tools (ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, …) are auto-detected via C2PA metadata and marked with a ⭐ "Created or edited using AI" indicator.

Tip

You can filter on the AI generated facet to find AI-created or AI-edited assets β€” handy for governance and brand checks before a campaign goes live.

Review and approve

  1. Your uploaded assets start in the Created state on the Create page.
  2. Select them and click Submit for approval β€” they move to the Review page with the status Under review.
  3. On the Review page, click Preview, then Approve (status β†’ Approved) or Reject (you'll be asked for a short reason).
  4. With the right permissions, you can Direct publish to approve and publish in one step.

Note

Review status shows on each thumbnail: New (grey) Β· Approved (green βœ“) Β· Rework (orange) Β· Rejected (red). Need to give feedback? Use Annotate to mark up the image and @mention a teammate.

Warning

Only Approved assets become available and searchable for use on your landing page β€” so approve the ones you want before the next steps.
